Spooky Game Ideas for Your Halloween Party
Halloween is not just a time to scare the “bejeebers” out of everyone you see, but also a time to have fun with friends. There’s a ton of things you can do including getting arrested, which isn’t good. So how about keeping your party at home and playing a few safe, and fun games?
One game that always seems to be a hit is the “Mummy Wrap” game. For this game all you need is an even amount of people and toilet paper. The people will break off into teams of two, one person will be the wrapper and one person will be the mummy. The object of the game is to wrap you mummy in toilet paper the best within a certain amount of time, one minute is usually sufficient. You can alternate the people and have the mummy be the wrapper and the wrapper is the mummy, which is one hundred percent up to the host. While this makes for a messy clean up, it also makes for a great time.
Ouija boards (pronounced wee-gee), are always extremely interesting. If you’re really looking for a scare one of these boards would be great. Turn of all the lights in the area except for a small candle, this will really set the mood. Begin randomly asking questions such as, “Is there any one here with us?”, if you’re lucky enough the piece will move. There are warnings though. There have been people claiming to see spirits or claim to be haunted after using the board. In the end it’s really up to the guests in the house.
The host could always have a pumpkin carving contest. This game is probably best for teens and up since sharp knives and cutting tools would be used. If the guests are children however, a scavenger hunt could be a great game if age appropriate.
There is a game called the “Sticker Stalker” that may be a blast for your guests. What you need is a sheet of ten stickers. When each guest comes in hand them one sheet. The object of the game is to get rid of all your stickers by placing them on other guests. If you get caught however, the person who catches you gets to put one of their stickers on you. If you are falsely accused of putting a sticker on someone, you get to put a sticker on that person. Again, another fun game and it can be played by all ages.
