Are you looking for some Spooky Games
for this Halloween? The first thing lots of us think about when it comes to Halloween is trick-or-treating which is a big part of it. However, what about those kids (and adults!) who are just that bit too old to go round asking for candy or simply don’t want to?
Spooky Halloween parties are a great alternative. They give kids and adults alike the chance to dress up in spooky costumes and have a great time without having to go from door-to-door. However, if your Halloween party is going to be successful, you need some Halloween themed activities.
So let’s take a look at some spooky games that you might want to consider for your Halloween party:
Pumpkin Bowling
Bowling can be a fun game at any time of the year. But if you use pumpkins instead of traditional bowling balls then you can really give it a Halloween feel. For the pins, you could use some halloween tombstones or if you want you could simply use some empty large soda bottles. If you decide to do that then you could give them a spooky feel by painting them white and then drawing eyes and mouths on them so that they look like ghosts. To make them stand up you can either fill them with water and freeze them or add sand or pebbles. Make sure that the winners of your game get a spooky prize.
Bobbing for Apples
This is traditional halloween game that has been played at Halloween parties for many years. You have to fill a large tub with water and then add some apples. Obviously you want to make sure that the water isn’t too deep as you don’t want anyone having an accident! Get those halloween party guests who want to participate to put their hands behind their backs and then try to catch an apple in their mouths. It’s probably best to do this one outdoors because it can get a bit messy with water going everywhere. So you will also want keep some towels to hand. For the kids you might even want to take a look at this great game Bobbing Apples
Pin the nose on the Jack O’Lantern
To play this game you need to draw a large Jack O’Lantern, omitting the nose. Then cut a nose out of black construction paper and place a thumbtack through it. Then you need to blindfold your Spooky Halloween Party guests and spin them around a few times. Then point them in the right direction and let them try to pin the nose on the Jack O’Lantern . The person who gets the nose closest to the right position is the winner.
Wrap The Mummy
For this game, you are going to need some rolls of toilet paper. You should divide the players into groups of three or four. Give each of the groups a roll or two of toilet paper. Each of the groups needs to designate one person as the Mummy with the other players doing the wrapping. The first group to completely wrap the Mummy using all their rolls of toilet paper wins.
Doughnut on a String
This is another of those games which has been played at Halloween Parties for many years. You need to hang some donuts from the ceiling with a piece of string. Each of the players needs to try to eat the entire doughnut without using their hands. The first one to finish their doughnut wins. Whilst you might love jam doughnuts you might want to give them a miss for this game and just use plain ones unless of course you want a lot of mess!
These Spooky Games are certain to bring lots of fun to any Halloween party.
